CHRISTMAS IN NAPLES

L' Assessorato al Turismo, Grandi Eventi e Pari Opportunità del Comune di Napoli (Naples CVB) – with the participation of the EU, Tourism Authorities in the Camapnia Region and Naples Chamber of Commerci – has published the program regarding the events and initiatives for Christmas in Naples 2007 and New Year in Naples 2008. The main event is scheduled to be the Great Concert on New Year's Eve, Christmas for children, handmade nativities, music, art, theatre and Poetry.

For 2007, the Christmas Holidays in Naples are filled with richness and local traditions not to be missed. From theatre plays to concerts, Christmas Carols and Nativity – there is always something to be admired.
The Assessorato al Turismo, Grandi Eventi e Pari Opportunità del Comune di Napoli (Naples CVB) has prepared a list of all these events and happenings during the period (that runs between December 2007 and the first week of January 2008) able to surpass any expectation: from any angle of interest, whether a resident or a tourist, no matter what age; there is an interesting aspect of the Christmas Season and its traditions in the Campania Area.
During the Christmas Season, traditional & cultural events were added for the New Year period as well.
It is on Christmas time, the most beautiful monuments in Naples and the historical fountain unhide from the shade and the city glooms Art all over. Brightness is added to all the monumental beauty of city fountains which are particularly under the spotlight during this month of December in Naples.

Referred to New Year in Naples, instead, the greatest information is regarding the New Year’s Concert as the organization has already mentioned as: “an extraordinary gathering (as Neapolitans say “kermesse”), rather traditional, with performances of internationally known artists at the splendid Piazza Plebiscito that will rotate appearances awaiting with the crowd for the midnight fireworks”.
A lot of attention will be dedicated to Art, Theater and Poetry as well.
