Location - Vesuvius
A still active volcano, the Vesuvius contributes to the creation of the enchanting scenery offered by the Gulf of Naples. Interesting under the geological point of view for the frequency of its eructions, the volcano represents one of the major tourist attractions in Campania. In 1996 the homonymous National Park was constituted on the territory of the volcano itself.
