The show inaugurated on December 4th 2008 will be open to the public until January 8th 2009 in the splendid location of Villa Fiorentino in Sorrento. Naples capital of art from the fifties to today is a painting exhibition, cured by the Art Gallery Arteteka of Torre del Greco and by the Fondazione Sorrento.
Aim of the event is to promote the Neapolitan artistic and pictorial tradition which from the immediate postwar period to today has ocuppied a relevant role in contemporary art. A well-organized artistic route which, thanks to the works of some artists, reproposes the evolution of Neapolitan painting in the last 50 years.
Protagonists are the oil paintings by Renato Barisani, Domenico Spinosa, Mario Persico, Lucio Del Pezzo, Salvatore Emblema, Antonio Del Donno, Rosario Mazzella, Mafonso, Crescenzo Del Vecchio, Bruno Donzelli, Enzo Esposito, Ernesto Totafiore, Mimmo Paladino, Nino Longobardi, Sergio Fermariello, Angelo Casciello, Sergio Gioielli, Lello Zito, Franco Betteghella, Giancarlo Altamura, Giovanni Parlato.
The exhibition will be visitable, with free entrance, every day, included Sundays and public holidays, from 9,00 a.m to 1,00 p.m. and from 3,00 p.m-. to 9,00 p.m.
