Text: La Tonnarella, located on the Via Capo, is a romantic Sorrentine Villa. Set on a cliff overlooking the Bay oF Napoli the location provides for remarkable views. While lounging on our oversized baconly we could see the infamous Vesuvius and the Isle of Capri as we watched the boats below channeling back and forth. All this plus the extra large Jacuzzi bathub we had in our room. But the most wonderful thing of all was that this luxury was had for a very small price. Text: We don''t stay in many hotels in Italy, because we go to a vacation house in a small Umbrian hilltown north of Perugia. But, while "at home" in Umbria, our favorite weekend get away is Sorrento and the Bellevue Syrene. Having a glass of wine while sitting on our bay side balcony is heaven. The staff is friendly and professional. The service is flawless. The dining room delightful. I can''t imagine staying anywhere else when visiting Sorrento.
