After a long quiet winter, Sorrento awakes and officially opens the tourist season with Easter. The hotels re-open and the businesses in general, after a long break, prepare themselves to offer the best and especially due to Easter.

The typical little charming streets of Sorrento, bring Spring Color and vivacity to the winter grey atmosphere that certainly Easter rewards with.

Even the cultural and traditional events re-propose an interesting calendar with a great variety of activities.

Distinguished by importance and by the magical atmosphere that they promote, the Hooded-men processions, that occur in a large amount through out Sorrento and the Peninsula. 16 Confraternities and 18 processions, in a representation of intense mysticism and at a certain feeling of returning to the past, are the some of the opportunities that the visitor can admire during this period.

Easter Holidays in Sorrento can disregard the inciting gastronomic itinerary that the city and area gift to those who visit; so many are the menus from all restaurants in Sorrento where one can taste with delight: The Pastiera - the typical Neapolitan dessert attached to the Syren Partenope legend where the lemon taste is exalted here as being one of the main typical products of the regions, and the Casatiello – an Easter fluffy and aromatic sweet, less known as the Pastiera. Joy for kids and the grown-ups, authentic from the Sorrentine Coast. Also a savoury version, commonly called “nzogna e pepe”, will be hard to resist from keeping the good figure, but certainly not your good…mood !
